By using DoctaDirect’s services, you confirm that you understand and agree to the terms below.
1. About DoctaDirect
DoctaDirect is a digital health service that provides medical guidance, nurse-led triage, and doctor escalation for:
- Pregnant women
- Children under the age of five
Services are delivered primarily through WhatsApp.
DoctaDirect is not a hospital, clinic, or emergency medical service.
2. Nature of the Services
By using DoctaDirect, you understand and agree that:
- You receive medical guidance and triage, not in-person medical treatment
- Certified nurses provide first-line responses using standardized clinical protocols
- Licensed doctors may review cases when clinically necessary
- DoctaDirect may recommend referral to a health facility
- DoctaDirect does not replace doctors, clinics, or hospitals
3. Prescriptions and Identity Verification
You understand and agree that:
- Prescriptions, when issued, are limited to predefined, low-risk conditions
- Prescriptions are issued only by licensed doctors
- Prescriptions are not guaranteed and remain at the discretion of the physician
- Before issuing any prescription:
- You may be asked to provide a valid government-issued identification document
- The doctor must verify your identity through a brief video call
- DoctaDirect may refuse to issue a prescription if clinical, safety, or verification requirements are not met
4. Emergency Disclaimer
You understand that:
- DoctaDirect is not an emergency service
- In case of severe or life-threatening symptoms, you must go immediately to the nearest health facility
- DoctaDirect may advise urgent referral but cannot provide emergency care
5. Consent to Medical Guidance
By using DoctaDirect, you give your informed consent for:
- Communication with certified nurses and licensed doctors via WhatsApp
- Review of your health information for medical guidance and triage
- Referral to partner doctors or health facilities when needed
- Follow-up communication related to your care
6. Consent to Data Collection & Use
You consent to the collection and use of your personal and medical information, including:
- Name, age, photo, phone number, and location
- Pregnancy or child health information
- Messages, voice notes, images, identification documents, or video interactions you choose to share
Your information will be used only to:
- Provide medical guidance and triage
- Ensure continuity and safety of care
- Improve service quality using aggregated and non-identifiable data
DoctaDirect does not sell your data.
You may stop using DoctaDirect’s services at any time. Discontinuing use ends your consent for future communications, subject to applicable legal and clinical record-keeping requirements.
7. WhatsApp Communication, Account Security & Contact Information
You understand and agree that:
- Services are provided through WhatsApp, a third-party platform
- WhatsApp has its own terms and privacy policies
- You are responsible for securing your phone and WhatsApp account
- If your phone is lost, stolen, or you change your phone number, it is your responsibility to inform DoctaDirect as soon as possible
- DoctaDirect is not responsible for communications sent to a number you no longer control if we have not been informed of the change
- By messaging DoctaDirect on WhatsApp, you consent to receive health-related communications through this platform
8. Confidentiality
You understand that:
- All DoctaDirect staff are bound by professional confidentiality obligations
- Only authorized personnel may access your information
- Your data is protected in accordance with DoctaDirect’s Privacy Notice
9. Consent for Children Under Five
If you are enrolling a child under five years of age:
- You confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian
- You consent on behalf of the child for medical guidance, triage, and data use as described in this document
10. Voluntary Use and Withdrawal
You understand that:
- Use of DoctaDirect is voluntary
- You may stop using the service at any time
- You may withdraw your consent by discontinuing use or contacting DoctaDirect
11. Confirmation of Consent
By clicking “I Agree”, replying “YES” on WhatsApp, or continuing to use DoctaDirect’s services, you confirm that:
- You have read and understood this Patient Consent
- You agree to receive medical guidance and triage via WhatsApp
- You consent to identity verification, including ID review and video calls when required
- You understand your responsibility to notify DoctaDirect of any change in phone number or loss of device
- You consent to the collection and use of your information as described above
